Paint A Literature I : A Dying Lady

John Everett Millais, Ophelia 1851-2
This is drowning Ophelia from Shakesphere's play Hamlet
Tate Britain

One of my favorite British painter Millais illustrates ending of tragic love story
Can you see extremely peaceful face who's close to death?
It's very weird that she makes me be calm and admire beauty.

John William Waterhouse, The Lady of Shalott 1888
This painting illustrates Alfred Tennyson's poem The Lady of Shalott
Tate Britain
